Be The Match
by Autumn Lomax on 12/30/2010On Wednesday, December 8th, we hosted a Bone Marrow Drive with an organization called Be the Match. Be the Match is a Bone Marrow Registry that works to sign people up for the registry in hopes that they will match someone who is in need of a bone marrow transplant to save someones life.
Be the Match came in as a guest artist over the summer and had such a overwhelming response from our future professionals that we decided we were going to host a Bone Marrow Drive and pledge to sign up 30 people and raise $1,500. I am so proud of our school and our future professionals because everyone was so supportive and excited to help save a life that we signed up 55 people to the registry (exceeding our goal by 25 people!!) and raised over $1,800!!
It was an amazing experience and everyone at Paul Mitchell the School looks forward to someday being able to help save someones life!
