SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -  Kayla Baker has wanted to be a hair stylist for as long as she can remember, but her dream is in jeopardy after someone walked into her hairstyling school and stole more than $2,000 worth of hair style supplies she needs to complete her certification and licensing.

Surveillance video shows a woman walking into the Paul Mitchell School in Spokane Valley and walking out with a silver toolbox filled with brushes, combs and scissors. "I'm just kind of sick about it," said Baker.  "I just want my stuff back."

The kit is a required school supply for more than 100 students at the Paul Mitchell School.  Replacing the kit will cost more than $2,000 and Baker is not sure how to pay for the new supplies.

She has scrapped together replacement pieces from her family but hopes someone will recognize surveillance video and return her original kit.

"We take clients every night and how are we going to take them if we don't have the tools?" she asked.

But the response to this has been amazing! Already this morning we have has Super Cuts from Sprague and Evergreen say they are planning a fundraiser to help her buy a new kit, and Eastpoint church said they will donate as well.

What a community! Thank you Spokane. And thank you KHQ for helping us spread the word!
