Paul Mitchell Schools and John Paul Pet Partner with Morris Animal Foundation and Their K9 Cancer Walk Programby Paul Mitchell Schools on 4/29/2011
DENVER, April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul Mitchell Schools and John Paul Pet have teamed up with Morris Animal Foundation as a national sponsor of the nonprofit's K9 Cancer Walk Program. Through their sponsorship, the two companies have pledged $100,000 to advance canine cancer research. The K9 Cancer Walk program was launched in 2008 to raise money for Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign, which helps dogs live longer, healthier, cancer-free lives.
"Partnering with Morris Animal Foundation and their K9 Cancer Walk program is a way for us to stay connected with our clients and their furry best friends," said Winn Claybaugh, dean and cofounder of Paul Mitchell Schools. "We have your pet's needs at heart and we couldn't think of a better way to help out such a great cause."
Morris Animal Foundation was introduced to Paul Mitchell Schools and John Paul Pet last fall, after they selected the Foundation as one of their FUNraising partners for 2011. Longtime Morris Animal Foundation supporter and trustee Betty White will accept the monetary gift to Morris Animal Foundation from Paul Mitchell Schools at the schools' annual event on May 1.
"Cancer takes the lives of many dogs far too soon, so funding cancer research is a cause that holds a special place in many dog lovers' hearts," said Tish Czachor, Morris Animal Foundation's canine cancer events manager. "We are thrilled to have Paul Mitchell Schools and John Paul Pet on board to help Morris Animal Foundation in its efforts to give our best friends a healthier tomorrow."
